On 7 November 2019, Dr. Hannes Herrmann of School of EECMS, Curtin University organized a freshmen workshop for SCNU-Curtin Articulation Programs students in the School of Software, SCNU.


Chen Huan, Vice-dean of the School of Software introduced academic background of Dr. Herrmann, as well as the overview of its freshmen workshop. The seminar was hosted by Du Leixin, foreign affairs secretary of the School of Software. Jiao Xintao, course coordinator of Electronic Information Engineering, Shen Shuyuan, course coordinator of Information and Computing Science participated in the event.


Dr. Herrmann showed learning environment and research centres, etc. of School of EECMS, Curtin University to our students, as well as introducing career outlook of computing industry in Australia. He mentioned Curtin University pay attention to student experience, and they hope their graduates would be culturally competent, innovative & creative & entrepreneurial, globally engaged & responsive, effective communicator with digital competence, industry connected and career capable. During the workshop, the students questioned about scholarship, postgraduate studies and student clubs. Dr. Herrmann had good communication with students on those questions.
